Former President Abdulla Yameen on Saturday announced the name of his new party, the People's National Front (PNF).
Former minister Mohamed Maleeh Jamal, who is in charge on behalf of Yameen, revealed the party's name and colour along with the party's official 'X' account.
Yameen left PPM on Thursday evening.
According to his senior lawyer Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed, Yameen decided to leave the party because the party's top brass did not want the party's activities to take place and they did not want his consultation and advice anymore.
Jameel also announced that Yameen would form a new party that very night.
Maleeh said Yameen would apply for permission to form the new party on Sunday.
