Male mayoral candidates sorted
The post of Mayor of the city became vacant following the election of the former President Mohammed Muizzu.

The numbers of candidates contesting next month's by-election have been announced.
The numbers of the candidates were arranged during the draw held at a special ceremony held at Dharubaaruge on Saturday. The draw was held in the order in which the candidature forms were submitted.
Candidates contesting for the Mayoral seat in the order of their numbers:

The post of Mayor of the city became vacant following the election of the former President Mohammed Muizzu. In addition, three constituencies of the Male City Council have been appointed to political positions in the new government. They are:

Henveiru South Constituency

Maafannu South Constituency

Central Henveiru Constituency
The numbers of the candidates contesting the three constituencies were also announced at the ceremony held on Saturday.
The by-election for the four posts is scheduled for 13th of next month.
