Top Chinese Communist Party official arrives in Maldives
President Muizzu also extended an invitation to Xi to visit Maldives.

Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, arrived in Maldives on Sunday at the invitation of the Maldivian government.
Sun Haiyan arrived in Maldives on Sunday at the invitation of Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer. She is scheduled to return home on Tuesday after completing the visit, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

During the visit, she will pay a courtesy call on President Mohamed Muizzu

She will also pay a courtesy call on the Speaker of the Parliament, Mohammed Aslam

On Monday she will attend a donation ceremony in A.Dh. Mahibadhoo
The senior Chinese government delegation arrived in Maldives on Sunday after President Mohamed Muizzu paid the first state visit of his presidency to China early this month at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. President Muizzu also extended an invitation to Xi to visit Maldives.
During the visit, he held official talks between the two countries. The two countries have signed 20 agreements.
