Maldivian to launch Addu-Kooddoo direct flights in Oct
The service will enable tourists arriving to Gan International Airport via Sri Lankan Airlines to visit the southern atolls easier.

Direct flights between Gan International Airport in Gan, Addu and Kooddoo Airport in Huvadhoo (G.Dh.) will be launched in October this year, Maldivian airline said on Thursday.
The service, launched as part of the 'South Connectivity Initiative', will enable tourists arriving at Gan International Airport via Sri Lankan Airlines to visit resorts and guest houses in G.A. and G.Dh. atolls. These trips will also help import-export businesses in these areas.
Maldivian announced on Thursday:

The flights will start on October 29 this year

Ticket bookings for the service will be available at all Maldivian ticketing outlets from Thursday onwards

The 'South Connectivity Initiative' is a government-led initiative in collaboration with Maldivian, Addu International Airport, the Ministry of Transport, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and the Ministry of Tourism. The main purpose of the event is to further connect tourism in the regions and facilitate trade relations.
