The Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlet, the famous fast food restaurant chain that specialises in fried chicken in the capital city Male, was attacked again early on Saturday morning.
According to a message sent to the media, the police said they received a report at 4.32am that a window pane of KFC restaurant on Ameenee Magu was smashed and damaged.
Police said the window of the KFC restaurant at the Male Square was smashed with a rock.
The case is being investigated and no arrests have been made yet, Police say.
The KFC outlet is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, a restaurant company that also owns the Pizza Hut and Taco Bell chains
People have been calling to boycott KFC in the city since the Gaza war began, saying the parent company supports Israel. In addition to occasional protests, posters are also posted outside the establishment, calling for boycotts.
Last November, some people threatened the KFC outlet and threw black oil at it. The outlet’s window was smashed late last Wednesday as well.
