More schools, hospitals and sports complexes will be built in the three phases of Hulhumale, President Mohamed Muizzu said on Sunday.
The president made the remarks this while meeting with the members of the Male City Council. He said these projects are being implemented to reduce the number of people living in Hulhumale who have to come to Male.
At the meeting, the president said that over the next four years, the city will:

Two specialised hospitals will be built; It is a thalassemia hospital and a special hospital for women and children

"Land has been allocated for these facilities," he said.
President Muizzu said the completion of these facilities would reduce the number of people coming to the capital city from Hulhumale and greatly ease the traffic flow in the city.
