5 arrested in drug raids in Hinnavaru, Naifaru

Police Drug Enforcement, Counter Narcotics Intelligence and North Police have arrested five people in a drug operation conducted in Lh. Hinnavaru and Naifaru islands.
Police raided 12 places in the operation on Wednesday. The operation was detailed in a press release issued on Thursday by the police:

Five people were arrested in the operation:

Hussain Esa Fulhu, 48, of Hinnavaru

Ahmed Mohamed, 36, Hinnavaru

Abdulla Zakariyya, 46, Naifaru

Mohamed Irshad, 35, Hinnavaru

Fathimath Reema, 44, Adh. Mahibadhoo
In addition to the five, others were searched in the drug operation, police said.
The five were produced before a court for a decision on their remand. The court remanded them in custody, police said. The court ordered their arrest:

Hussain Esa Fulhu and Ahmed Mohamed - for seven days

Abdulla Zakariyya - 15 days

Fatimath Reema - 12 days

Mohamed Irshad - for three days
Police are investigating the matter.
