BBM, IREKS transform premium baking with demonstrations
IREKS, a global leader in high-quality baking ingredients and malts, has teamed up with Bestbuy Maldives (BBM) to bring an exclusive baking demonstration series to Maldives’ most prestigious resorts.
Conducted by renowned IREKS master baker Chef Steven, the series is designed to enhance the culinary expertise of resort chefs and elevate dining experiences across the islands. This collaboration showcases IREKS’ dedication to innovation and BBM’s commitment to uplifting the Maldivian tourism sector.
With a legacy spanning over 160 years, IREKS serves customers in over 90 countries, providing premium products that include artisanal bread mixes, high-quality confectionery mixes, gluten-free, and vegan ingredients. The baking demonstrations, which are held in collaboration with BBM —the leading supplier of premium food products to Maldivian resorts—focus on the diverse range of IREKS ingredients, renowned for their exceptional quality and versatility.
From September 21 to October 2, Chef Steven, a master baker from IREKS, is visiting several luxury resorts in the Maldives covering Kaafu, Dhaalu, Baa, Gaafu Alifu, and South Ari Atolls where he showcases cutting-edge techniques using IREKS products. His demonstrations highlight innovative recipes, including artisanal breads, gourmet pastries, and specialty items tailored to meet modern dietary needs.
Special emphasis is placed on gluten-free and vegan baking, a growing trend among health-conscious travellers. Chef Steven also addresses the crucial aspect of avoiding cross-contamination when preparing these items, ensuring that resort chefs are equipped with the skills necessary to cater to guests with specific dietary requirements.
