The State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has advised customers to contact its call centre if they have any complaints regarding electricity bills issued under the revised tariff structure.
Following the issuance of monthly electricity bills under the new tariff last month, some members of the public have raised concerns about higher charges.
STELCO has requested customers with concerns to contact its customer care hotline at 1545. In addition to phone assistance, customers can also access STELCO Care services online for further support.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu announced a reduction in household electricity tariff rates last Friday.
However, several customers have expressed dissatisfaction on social media, stating that the changes were not reflected in their latest bills. STELCO stated yesterday that for some customers, electricity bills for May were higher than those for April, even after the applied discount.
