STELCO said the decision was taken by Mohamed Muizzu, continuing the practice followed during Ramadan in the past two years.
State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) on Saturday announced that electricity bills for the month of Ramadan will be capped at MVR 400.
STELCO said the decision was taken by Mohamed Muizzu, continuing the practice followed during Ramadan in the past two years. As part of the arrangement, electricity consumption for Ramadan will be billed separately.
The company said meter readings will be taken on the 16th and 17th of this month in Malé and on the 17th in the islands to calculate the separate bill for the Ramadan period.
STELCO requested cooperation from customers to facilitate access for staff collecting meter readings.
