Maldives to announce AI masterplan for economic advantage
The masterplan consists of risk management in utilising AI and the design of a legal framework on AI technology.
President Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday announced the formulation of a masterplan, in accordance with regional best practices, on the application of artificial intelligence for economic advantage.
The masterplan consists of risk management in utilising AI and the design of a legal framework on AI technology.
The decision was made after deliberations during the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
At the meeting, President Muizzu also decided that upon formulation of the masterplan, relevant documentation would be presented to the cabinet by the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
