Housing Development Corporation (HDC) on Wednesday invited expressions of interest (EOI) for the development and operation of three luxury hotels in Urban Isle, an integrated tourism zone located in the second phase of Hulhumale.
According to a press release issued by HDC, these hotels will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, promising high-quality services to cater to the growing influx of tourists visiting the Maldives.
HDC highlighted that the preferred model for the project is a land lease arrangement, though proposals featuring other models will also be considered.
The corporation encourages developers and operators to submit creative business models, noting that the project aims to enhance the tourism infrastructure within Urban Isle, a prime location in the expanding Hulhumale district.
"If more than one bidder expresses interest and submits proposals, the project will be awarded to the most comprehensive bidder," the statement read.
HDC emphasised that the evaluation process will prioritise the proposed business model and the operational experience of the bidders.
Interested parties must submit their EOI via email to [email protected] by 2pm on October 29.
The HDC advised potential bidders to visit its official website for more information regarding the project and submission guidelines.
Further inquiries about the project can also be directed to [email protected].
