Land has been officially handed over for the construction of two mosques in Hulhumale Phase II.
The handover ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) headquarters.

HDC Managing Director Ali Zuhair signed on behalf of the corporation.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed signed on behalf of the ministry.
According to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, each mosque will have a capacity of 3,000 people.
The land plots allocated are:

Lot No. 22221 – measuring 27,920 square feet

Lot No. 22242 – measuring 20,720 square feet
The ministry confirmed that construction work will proceed in line with the government’s plans to expand public facilities in Hulhumale.
