Mariyam Visam has resigned from her position as the Registrar of Companies after serving for more than a decade.

Visam confirmed her resignation to Atoll Times on Tuesday, stating that she is leaving the post to pursue opportunities in the private sector.

She was first appointed as Registrar of Companies on 28 January 2014 during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen and continued in the role under President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration.
