STO cuts petrol price ahead of Eid holidays

State Trading Organisation (STO) has announced a reduction in petrol prices for the upcoming Eid holidays.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the company stated that the price of petrol has been reduced to MVR 13.5 per litre. Previously, petrol was sold at MVR 13.98 per litre.

An STO official stated that the price adjustment is expected to benefit commuters and service providers during the Eid period. The revised price will remain in effect beyond the holidays.
STO adjusts fuel prices in accordance with fluctuations in global oil prices.
