Ahmed Mubeen has resigned from his position as Managing Director of the Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL), according to an announcement made via the company's official social media channels.
The posts acknowledged his service and conveyed best wishes for his future.
Mubeen’s resignation comes as RACL and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) are engaged in a government-initiated process to merge the two entities. The government has stated that the merger is part of a broader cost-cutting policy and is expected to be completed in the near future.
Currently, MACL operates Velana International Airport, while RACL is responsible for managing six regional airports across the Maldives.
