President Mohamed Muizzu has changed the name of TradeNet Maldives Corporation to Maldives Innovation and Digital Company Limited.
According to a resolution published on Thursday, the change was made under the President’s authority.
TradeNet was established in 2019 as a fully government-owned company to provide various business services in the Maldives through a single window system.
The name change reflects the company’s role in implementing the Maldives 2.0 Roadmap 2025–2028: Journey to Digital Transformation. The company will serve as the government’s technology and innovation arm and act as a lead partner in national digital transformation initiatives.
The revised corporate identity aligns with the Maldives 2.0 vision.
