MACL board expanded to 9 directors; Riyaz removed
The PCB has also decided to increase the number of members on the MACL board from seven to nine.
Mohamed Riyaz, commonly known as “Lets Go Riyaz,” has been removed from the board of the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
His dismissal follows his removal from the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) on Saturday. The PCB has also decided to increase the number of members on the MACL board from seven to nine.

Earlier this month, on 6 October, MACL established a subsidiary named Peninsula Infrastructure to oversee land reclamation and selected government infrastructure projects.
MACL has recently taken on an expanded role, implementing projects such as airport and gym construction across the atolls. Following the dissolution of the Regional Airports Company (RACL), MACL has assumed responsibility for the operation of all regional airports in the Maldives.
