Hussain Didi has been dismissed from his position as Managing Director of Agro National Corporation Limited.

The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board confirmed the decision in a statement issued on Monday.

“Mr Hussain Didi (Blacksmith, GDh. Thinadhoo) has been removed from his post as Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors of Agro National Corporation Limited, effective today,” the board said.

He is the second head of a state-owned enterprise to be removed on the same day. Earlier, Mohamed Najah was dismissed from his role as Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation.

The removals follow the outcome of the Local Council Elections held on Saturday.

AgroNet is a state-owned company which the government had previously decided to dissolve in September 2024.

No further details were provided regarding the decision.
