Deadline extended again for Hulhumale land bids
The land sold in Hulhumale phase two includes 22 plots sold from the beach front and 52 plots sold from the beach side.

The deadline for submitting bids for 74 land plots in Hulhumale has been extended for the second time.
HDC said in an announcement on March 18 that land between 1,095.05 square feet and 2,588.14 square feet will be sold in Hulhumale.
The announcement first entailed that bid forms must be submitted by 11 and 12 September. However, the deadline was later extended to 3 and 4 October.
HDC said in an announcement Thursday that the deadline for submitting bids has been extended again.
As of now:

Bids submitted for beach front land due between 9am and 11pm on 5 October

Bids submitted for beach side land due between 9 am and 11 pm on 6 October
The land sold in Hulhumale phase two includes 22 plots from the beach front and 52 plots from the beach side. A person can buy only one pot.
In this regard:

Beach front: bid starts at MVR 6,500 per square feet

Beach side: bid starts at MVR 5,000 per square feet

Bid security is MVR 1 million
The conditions required for applicants to purchase land under the bidding policy are:

To be a Maldivian over the age of 18

Applicants should not own land in Male region; not eligible for application if 600 square feet of land or more is registered to the applicant's name for living purposes in the Male region, or the same land space has been inherited.

Applicant has not previously bought any land in Hulhumale through HDC bids.

If applicant has purchased land previously and changed its registration to the name of someone else, participation in the bid will not be allowed.
