Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has appointed board directors to Addu International Airport (AIA) company, which operates Gan International Airport in the southernmost Addu atoll, and Kaddhoo Airport Company, which operates L. Kaddhoo airport.
In separate announcements on Tuesday, PCB said Shathif Ali of Nookokaage/S. Feydhoo was appointed to the board of AIA and Ahmed Shareef Ali of Laksamivilla/S. Maradhoo Feydhoo to the board of Kaddhoo Airport Company. The two directors nominated by the government were appointed on June 22, it added.
After handing over the letter of appointment, the PCB asked the new directors to make every effort to rectify the issues identified in the financial and governance reviews of their respective companies.
The board of AIA consists of:

Five directors nominated by the government, which holds 70% stake in the company

Two directors of Casa Holdings, which owns 30% stake in the company

He was previously the Managing Director of Kaddhoo Airport Company

Currently, he is the principal director at the defence ministry's department of strategic security and assessment; he will continue to hold the post
