Contractors sought to develop Kulhudhuffushi airport terminal

The Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL) has begun seeking contractors to develop the passenger terminal at H.Dh. Kulhudhuffushi Airport.
RACL, which operates the airport in Kulhudhuffushi, on Wednesday invited expressions of interest from companies interested in undertaking the expansion of the airport terminal in accordance with the concept drawing it provides.
The project will include an 11,345-square-foot passenger terminal and shaded area. The structure of the existing terminal will be replaced with other facilities to expand passenger services.
The opportunity to express interest in the work is open until Tuesday.
The expansion of the passenger terminal at Kulhudhuffushi Airport is also included in the government's Week 14 roadmap.
RACL Managing Director Ahmed Mubeen said the new terminal will be fully equipped with all the services needed by passengers.
With these changes, RACL has decided to introduce tourism-related activities in the area including Kulhudhuffushi Airport and signed an agreement with the City Council.
