Regional Airports Company to operate Magoodhoo airport
Regional Airports said the airport will be operational in January if work continues on schedule.

Regional Airports Company has been awarded the operation of the airport in F. Magoodhoo.
The company said in a statement on Tuesday that it has handed over all the powers to operate the airport to Regional Airports under an agreement signed with the Ministry of Finance.
The government is currently working on expanding the runway of the MVR 230 million airport to 1,800 metres.

The airport fire building has been completed

The structure of the passenger terminal building is complete and finishing work is now underway

Construction of a jet parking area and a jet fuel farm is currently underway

A special hotel for the jets' crews will also be developed
Regional Airports said the airport will be operational in January if work continues on schedule.
MTCC is developing the Magoodhoo Airport.
The M. Muli airport, which has been handed over to regional airports, has also been completed and will be operational by then, it said.
