President Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated Dharumavantha Hospital as a tertiary-level hospital.
At a ceremony held at Dharumavantha Hospital Friday evening, the president unveiled the logo of The Male City Group of Hospitals.
Underlining his government's commitment to bolstering the health sector, the president marked a significant milestone by inaugurating Dharumavantha Hospital as a tertiary-level service centre. This was accompanied by the opening of a fertility centre and the inauguration of a hybrid cardiac catheterisation lab (Cath lab) during the ceremony.
The president also announced that Dharumavantha Hospital's ER would be dedicated to children.
After viewing the video report on the newly introduced services at Dharumavantha Hospital at the ceremony, the president toured the newly inaugurated fertility centre, Children’s ER and Cath lab and inquired about the services provided at the respective departments.
Addressing the nation at the Republic Day ceremony in Dharubaaruge on November 10, the president stated that Dharumavantha Hospital and Hulhumale Hospital will be upgraded to tertiary-level hospitals as part of the Government's efforts to develop the health sector.
As the evening marks the inauguration of Dharumavantha Hospital as a tertiary-level hospital, the president's upcoming inauguration of Hulhumale Hospital on Saturday adds to the anticipation of the significant developments in the health sector.
