Project launched to expand NID, passport service to all atolls
A roadmap was presented outlining how NID and passport services will be expanded to all atolls.
President Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the National Identity Card (NID) and passport services in all Atolls.
The ceremony was held at the President's Office on Saturday.
The scope of this project has been increased to include all of Male, as well as Laamu and Dhaalu Atolls. Additionally, passport services have been launched today in Hulhumale Phase 1, Phase 2, Villimale, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, and L. Fonadhoo.
During the ceremony, a roadmap was presented outlining how NID and passport services will be expanded to all atolls. By 2025, these services will be established in designated areas across each city and atoll.
