2 nominations submitted for anti-graft body
The vacancies arose following the resignations of Vice-President Abdul Salaam and member Thoha Mohamed in November.
Two names have been submitted to parliament for consideration to fill the vacant seats in the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The nominations were presented during an extraordinary sitting of parliament Thursday.
The vacancies arose following the resignations of Vice-President Abdul Salaam and member Thoha Mohamed in November. Both resigned before a no-confidence vote was scheduled to be taken against them.
President Mohamed Muizzu, after the opening of nominations, submitted the following names for priority consideration:
