Muththalib congratulated Indian ambassador to the Maldives G.K. Balasubramanian for his engagement in the project and conveyed his appreciation. He stated that following this milestone, the government aims to accelerate the construction to meet the planned timeline.
The newly placed segment of the bridge measures 8.23 metres in length, 25.37 metres in width, and weighs 216.04 metric tonnes. The Indian High Commission described the connection of this segment as a significant achievement in the project.
