The bodies of all those killed in the deadly fire that broke out in Male on the night of 9 October have been sent back to their respective countries, police said on Saturday.
The police had earlier said that they were doing the needful to send the bodies of those who lost their lives in the fire that broke out in a garage at M. Nirufehi in the junction between Iskandhar Magu and Koarukendi Magu.
Eight Indians and two Bangladeshi nationals were killed in the incident:

Five Indian men and three Indian women

A man and a woman from Bangladesh
The bodies of all the Indians killed in the incident were repatriated on Monday. On Saturday, police confirmed that the bodies of the Bangladeshi nationals have also been sent back.
A critically injured patient, the sole survivor of the Nirufehi fire is being treated on ventilator support at IGMH and his condition is still critical, a hospital spokesman told Atoll Times on Monday.
Since the investigation is still ongoing, it is not possible to say directly, the cause of the fire.
