President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed will be undertaking a state visit to Singapore at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
The visit will take place from June 29 to July 2.
During the visit, the President will meet President Shanmugaratnam, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, and Singaporean cabinet ministers and discuss mutually beneficial prospects to further strengthen the friendship and development cooperation between the Maldives and Singapore.
The President is expected to attend a business forum that will bring representatives of leading businesses based in Singapore.
A number of memoranda of understanding are to be concluded in a range of areas. The President will also be meeting with the Maldivian community residing in Singapore.
Singapore has been a steadfast bilateral partner to the Maldives and this visit is expected to foster the ties between the two countries into the future.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Singapore were established on February 20, 1975.
