President vows results for election support
President Muizzu thanked residents for their support in the election and said he intended to deliver on commitments made.
President Mohamed Muizzu has said preparations are underway to implement pledges made during the presidential election campaign, with work set to begin on a number of projects.
Speaking during a visit to Kudarikilu in Baa Atoll on Monday afternoon, President Muizzu thanked residents for their support in the election and said he intended to deliver on commitments made.
“I want to assure you during this visit that we have overcome the difficulties encountered, and we are now in a position to proceed with the necessary work in various islands, including Kudarikilu,” he said.
The President outlined several initiatives for the island, including:

Commencement of the water and sewerage project this month, with completion targeted within six months from September.

Road construction awarded to the Road Development Corporation (RDC).

Continuation of the ongoing school development project.

Construction of a multipurpose hall.

Upgrading of the health centre.

Construction of a mosque once land becomes available.

Development of the football stadium.

Building of a fitness and recreation hall and a netball court.
President Muizzu’s visit to Baa Atoll is part of a broader programme to engage with communities and review development priorities across the country.
