Over 3,000 agreements signed for FDC flats in Hulhumalé
The government had earlier stated that residents would begin moving into the flats this month.

The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has signed agreements with 3,032 out of 4,000 recipients of flats in Hulhumalé.
FDC said on Sunday that it has so far scheduled agreements with 3,088 recipients. The signing process is being held at the Synthetic Track area in Hulhumalé.
The flats are being constructed by two Indian companies. Recipients are being called to sign agreements in the order of completion of the units. The government had earlier stated that residents would begin moving into the flats this month.
According to FDC, the flats will be handed over once internal works are completed.
Rent and Fees
The monthly rent and maintenance charges have been set as follows:

Two-bedroom apartments: MVR 7,000 rent and MVR 1,000 maintenance, with a down payment of MVR 15,000.

Three-bedroom apartments: MVR 9,000 rent and MVR 1,500 maintenance, with a down payment of MVR 25,000.
