JSC seeks removal of Criminal Court judge Faiz
Under the JSC Act, the commission has decided to submit a request to Parliament to remove Judge Faiz from the judiciary.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to request the removal of Criminal Court Judge Hussain Faiz Rashad from his position.
According to the JSC, the decision follows an investigation into a custody order issued by the judge regarding an individual detained by police. The inquiry found that the order had been breached.
The JSC stated that the conduct of Judge Faiz contravened Article 142 of the Constitution, Article 33(g) of the Judicature Act, and Articles 1.1, 2.1 and 3.1 of the Code of Conduct for Judges.
