Foreigner found dead in sea near Gulhifalhu
Police said it is not yet known whether the individual fell from a vessel or sustained injuries prior to death.
A foreign national was found dead in the sea near Gulhifalhu on Thursday, police said.
The incident was reported to authorities at around 1:30pm. Police said the body was recovered from the water and taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
In a written statement, a police spokesperson said the individual has been identified. However, the police have not disclosed the person’s age or nationality.
Police said it is not yet known whether the individual fell from a vessel or sustained injuries prior to death.
The case is under investigation, and police said further information will be released as it becomes available.
