Govt announces 10% land price discount for Hulhumalé Phase I allottees
President said the discount will apply to residential land plots allocated in Hulhumalé Phase I and will be calculated as 10 per cent of the total price.
The government has decided to grant a 10 per cent discount on the price of land allocated in the first phase of Hulhumalé, President Mohamed Muizzu said on Sunday evening.
The announcement was made during a meeting with residents of Hulhumalé Phase I. The president said the concession applies to individuals who received land under earlier housing allocation schemes and who have not previously been granted any form of relief.
Muizzu said the discount will apply to residential land plots allocated in Hulhumalé Phase I and will be calculated as 10 per cent of the total price stated in the original agreement.
“I am not referring to land purchased through bidding,” he said. “Those who received land through draw-based or points-based schemes will receive a 10 per cent discount on the total price of the agreement.”
The president said the concession will also apply to individuals who have already paid most or all of the agreed amount for their plots, with the discount adjusted accordingly.
