Manipal Hospitals in India have resumed providing services under the Aasandha health insurance scheme, Aasandha officials said on Saturday.

Manipal Hospitals, which treat a large number of Maldivian patients, had suspended Aasandha services in July 2024 following a dispute over service charges.

Aasandha Chief Executive Officer Aiminath Zeeniya told Atoll Times that Manipal Hospitals has now resumed services under the scheme. She did not provide further details on the terms of the resumption.

Some media outlets quoted Zeeniya as saying that services were restored after Manipal Hospitals agreed to revise its pricing.

Manipal Hospitals remain included on the list of overseas health facilities approved under the Aasandha scheme.
