Police seek man accused of insulting Islam on TikTok
Police said 44-year-old Hussain Yusuf of Hiyaleege, N. Kudafari, is wanted for failing to comply with a summons issued in connection with an investigation.

The Maldives Police Service has issued a notice seeking a man accused of posting content on TikTok that insults Islam.
Police said 44-year-old Hussain Yusuf of Hiyaleege, N. Kudafari, is wanted for failing to comply with a summons issued in connection with an investigation.
According to police, Yusuf was scheduled to appear before Sergeant Adam Haleem at the Criminal Investigation Building on the 18th of this month at 12:00 pm.
Authorities said the case relates to allegations that Yusuf posted content on TikTok spreading religious division and false claims about the origins of Islam.
Police stated that the suspect did not appear after being summoned.
The police service recently published a notice seeking information on a person who spoke on TikTok in a manner considered insulting to Islam and the Prophet.
Authorities asked anyone with information on Yusuf’s whereabouts to contact the police.
