The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has issued a seven-day notice to the owner of a flat at the Vinares housing complex to cease a laundry operation being conducted within the unit.
The issue came to light after a video showing the activity inside the apartment was shared on social media.
In response to inquiries, HDC Information Officer Mohamed Siraj said on Saturday that a notice had been served directing the owner to stop the activity.
“If the issue is not rectified within seven days, HDC will take further action in accordance with regulations,” he said.
Information shared on social media indicates that the operation is taking place in Tower 8A of the Vinares complex.
The video shows multiple laundry machines inside the apartment, along with gas cylinders used for the operation.
