The Maldives Police Service has launched an investigation into an incident involving the assault of a teacher at an atoll school in GDh. Gadhdhoo.
Police said the case was reported at approximately 11:46am on Sunday. The individual involved is an Indian national working as a teacher at the school.

According to police, the teacher sustained injuries and received initial treatment at the Gadhdhoo Health Centre. She has since been transferred to Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
Police stated that the case is being investigated in coordination with relevant authorities.
