Renovation of the ‘Tsunami Binaa’ monument park area has been completed.
The work was carried out by MTCC. The company said development of the Tsunami Monument Square area was completed on the 2nd of this month.
Construction Minister Dr Abdullah Muththalib had earlier said the Tsunami Monument area is being developed as part of government efforts to make parks and squares usable for the public.
Under the project, sheet piles on the west side of the tsunami monument area were replaced and the keywall was repaired. Landscaping work was also carried out.
The Tsunami Monument was originally located at the junction of the Sinamale Bridge. The structure was later moved to the Thinruh Park area on the west side of Malé.
