Tree Top Hospital on Monday announced the birth of the 100th baby conceived through its in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) services.
The milestone comes nearly two years after the hospital launched the Maldives’ first fertility clinic in May 2023.
According to the hospital, the IVF programme has provided fertility treatment services to families seeking to conceive, with the latest birth marking the 100th successful delivery through the programme.
In a statement, the hospital described the achievement as the result of “100 journeys” involving families undergoing fertility treatment and thanked patients for placing their trust in the institution.
Tree Top Hospital stated that the programme continues to be guided by the experiences of couples seeking fertility support and treatment.
The hospital’s IVF programme recorded successful outcomes from its early stages. According to figures previously shared by the hospital, six out of the first 10 individuals who underwent embryo transfer procedures conceived successfully.
The first baby conceived through IVF treatment at Tree Top Hospital was born in May 2024.
