Three individuals and one organisation were presented with the National Award of Honour (National Award for Meritorious Service) during the National Day celebrations held on Saturday in HA. Utheemu.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu conferred the awards at the official ceremony, recognising contributions across a range of sectors.
The recipients of the National Award of Honour were:

Mohamed Aamir Ahmed of GDh. Faresmathoda for contributions to Dhivehi language and literature.

Ibrahim Rasheed for contributions to construction and architectural design.

Society for Health Education (SHE) for contributions to the health sector.

Najuma Hussain for contributions to news and information broadcasting.
In addition to the National Award of Honor, the President also presented the National Award of Encouragement to seven individuals and one company.
The recipients were:

Hawwa Latheef of GA. Dhaandhoo for raising Islamic awareness, religious service and religious education.

Mohamed Naseer of HDh. Vaikaradhoo for contributions to Dhivehi language and literature.

Command Sergeant Major Abdulla Saeed for contributions to Maldivian history.

Mohamed Ahmed for contributions to the health sector.

Bison Maldives Private Limited for contributions to construction and architectural design.

Arshad Ahmed of HA. Uligan for contributions to telecommunications and information technology.

Aishath Naura for contributions to sports.

Ismail Abdul Gafoor for contributions to visual arts.
A National Award of Service was also conferred posthumously in memory of Ihsan Abdul Ghanee.
The awards were presented as part of the National Day celebrations, which recognise individuals and organisations for their contributions to the Maldives in various fields.
