Four foreigners were injured when a gas cylinder exploded at Ma. Dhoogasge, Machangolhi, Malé, early Monday morning.

Police said the incident was reported at 5:27am.

The injured include two Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian nationals. Two of the four are in critical condition, while all four are receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The fire at the house has been brought under control.

Police are investigating the incident.
