Criminal Court judge Hassan Saeed has retired after 21 years of service.
In a social media post, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) thanked Saeed on Sunday for his services to the judiciary for the past 21 years.
Saeed was removed as the chief justice of the Family Court and appointed as a Criminal Court judge following a disciplinary enquiry by the JSC.
He was also suspended for 14 days in February after it was found that he had facilitated a person to get married in violation of law, regulations and procedures followed in the Family Court during his tenure as the chief justice of the court. However, by the time he retired, the suspension had been revoked.
JSC had conducted several other disciplinary enquiries concerning Saeed.
