President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will leave for the United Kingdom Wednesday evening to attend the coronation of Britain's King Charles III, the President's Office said Wednesday.
King Charles's coronation will take place on Saturday.
Presidential spokesperson Miuvan Mohamed said on Twitter that the president will also participate in an event of leaders of Commonwealth countries.
He will also attend a function for foreign dignitaries.

Millions of people across the UK and beyond are preparing to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III - a symbolic ceremony combining a religious service and pageantry.
It is being held at Westminster Abbey on 6 May and the King, who will be crowned along with Camilla, the Queen Consort, will be the 40th reigning monarch crowned there since 1066.
