Owner of car linked to Naeema murder suspects arrested
The police have also recovered two knives suspected to have been used to kill Naeema and the clothes the suspects wore that night.

A third person has been arrested in Male on Sunday evening in connection with the murder of Naeema Moosa, who was brutally murdered in a house in N. Manadhoo in early April.
It has been confirmed to Atoll Times that it is the owner of the car that the two men accused of killing Naeema drove on the night of the murder.
Nearly a month and a half later, two young men were arrested from Manadhoo in connection with the case last week. The police said in a message sent to the media Sunday evening that a 21-year-old Maldivian man was arrested from Male.
The police did not provide further details.
However, a reliable source confirmed to Atoll Times that the youth arrested on Sunday evening was not only the owner of the car but also the driver of the car that night.

Earlier, the police had recovered DNA of another person from the spot where Naeema was found murdered. Samples were collected from several residents of the island to find out whose DNA it was.
