
604 ballot boxes for presidential election
Though EC has decided to set up a total of 604 polling stations, the number of polling stations is likely to change after re-registration, Habeeb tweeted.
A total of 604 ballot boxes will be set up in Maldives and abroad for the September 9 presidential election, the Elections Commission (EC) said on Sunday.
EC Vice-President Ismail Habeeb tweeted that the ballot boxes will be placed as follows:

Though EC has decided to set up a total of 604 polling stations, the number of polling stations is likely to change after re-registration, Habeeb said.
The EC will announce the details of the ballot box number, ballot box code, name of the ballot box, polling area and island and place where the ballot box will be placed, Habeeb said.
The Elections Commission has decided to open re-registration for this year's elections from July 16 to August 5.
Earlier, Habeeb released figures showing that 283,272 people are eligible to vote this year.
