President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced on Saturday that the salary structure of professionals working in the aviation sector will be revised.

Speaking at a rally held by the MDP and allied parties at Sosun camp on Saturday evening, President Solih said he would look to do it equally when making salary changes.

Aviation workers play a very important role and their salaries have been reviewed, he said.

"There are many employees working in the aviation sector. Soon, hopefully, pilots, engineers and air crew will get a salary increase. I assure you that all those working in this sector will get a salary increase soon," the president said.

It is noteworthy that while the president announced the change in the salaries of aviation employees, private airlines offer the highest salaries in Maldives.
