
Democrats, Muizzu's office hold talks on forming govt

The Transitional Office and The Democrats on Monday held talks on the running of the new government.
Director General of Transition Abdul Raheem Abdulla and Democrats' Interim Chairman, Henveiru West MP Hassan Latheef spoke to reporters after the meeting held at the Transitional Office.
Regarding the discussions at the meeting, Abdul Raheem said:

The Democrats in government shared their experiences and discussed overcoming challenges
"The most important thing for a country to grow as a country is to have justice. So, they came to share with us The Democrats' views on establishing a government that provides justice and equal services," he said.
Hassan Latheef said The Democrats discussed ways to work with the new government. He said he would also cooperate with the government through parliament.
The office began the practical work of the transitional phase on Sunday. The office's teams have started visiting government agencies and gathering information.
