One person was killed, and two others injured when a boat collided with a speedboat near H.A. Ihavandhoo on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Rasheed, 68, of Naya-daisy, Ihavandhoo.
Police sent a message to the media regarding the accident:

The accident happened near Hovahandhu adjacent to Ihavandhoo

Three people were injured and taken to Ihavandhoo Hospital; One in serious condition
The man, who was in critical condition, is now dead, two members of the island council confirmed to Atoll Times.
Council members told Atoll Times:

The deceased was one of the two occupants of the boat; It was Abdul Rasheed accompanied by his son
