The High Court has invited applications for the post of High Court Judge, which fell vacant following Judge Ahmed Shakeel’s retirement.
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) decided to accept Shakeel's resignation last week. According to the JSC, Shakeel is retiring because he is suffering from Sick Sinus Syndrome.
The JSC has opened the opportunity to apply for the post on Sunday.
According to the announcement made by the Commission on Sunday, applications for the post will be submitted through the Commission's Fahires portal. The deadline for applications expires next Tuesday.

A person was also appointed to the vacant post of Chief Justice of the High Court on 26th last month. Justice Hussain Shaheed, who is temporarily in charge of the court, has been appointed to the post.
